Three Strengths of A True Strategic Leader

I am a big fan of leaders who focus on strategic direction.  This article from Forbes by Katherine Colarelli Beatty offers some excellent guidance to leaders who want to be more strategic.  The three strengths are:
  • Being grounded in a strong understanding of the complex relationship between the organization and its environment
  • Taking decisive action that is consistent with the strategic direction of the organization
  • Building commitment to the organization's strategic direction by inviting others into the strategic process, forging relationships inside and outside the organization, and navigating the political landscape.
